Bride's story

A devoted lover of flora and fauna, Melissa embraces all critters but corgis and house centipedes. Fortunately for Josh, he is neither of these.

Groom's story

Born in the land of asparagus, Josh embraces all vegetables but the eggplant and mushroom. Fortunately for Melissa, she is neither of these.
``Melissa and Josh: Their love is like the world's greatest buffet in a glorious old castle where the drinks are served by floating cats. Truly a buffet unlike any other,`` as decreed by Anthony Baldino.

``We know where the music's playin'...let's go out and feel the night.``

WEDDING PARTY

Bridesmaids

Rebecca Murray

If Melissa were to tally all the time she's spent communicating electronically with others, she'd be hard pressed to find anyone she's logged more online time with than the ever-witty Rebecca. Through both crises and hysterics (of laughter), Rebecca has been there for Melissa more times than she can count, and she's honored to have her by her side for the big day. (Muahahaweddinghahaha!)

Bethany Carland Adams

When it comes to cahoots, there aren't many partners in crime quite like Bethany. At one moment, she's performing as a mystical gypsy woman in a small, independent film...at the next moment, she's kayaking under fireworks as the tide pushes out towards the harbor. Melissa is delighted to have Bethany's special brand of sparkle by her side on the big day.

Amy Dattilo

To say the friendship first bloomed as Melissa teased and sprayed Amy's hair to 10x its natural span might lead one to believe it's been a bond since the 80's, but nay, the two have packed three decades-worth of friendship (and fabulous Amy hair) into less than one. Forever linked through music, mischief, and Medford, Melissa counts herself lucky to have Amy by her side on the big day.

Susan Misicka, Lady of Honor

Everyone needs someone to look up to, and for Melissa, that's always been her big sister Susan...although Melissa eventually had to look down at her, but purely for height-related reasons. Loved for her smarts, her style, and her fearless swims in the Aare River, this Swiss miss is never far from Melissa's heart, even when she's 6000 kilometers away (or, as we call it, 3728 miles). But she'll be glad to have her just a few feet (or a meter) away on the big day!

Groomsmen

Jeremy Thayer

Hailing from Hadley, Josh's brother Jer is an avid fisherman and a fan of the outdoors, whether boating on the Connecticut River in the moonlight or traipsing through the landscapes of California. A talented actor and a natural performer, Jer is always on stage...whether there's a production happening or not. Break a leg in your role as groomsman, Jer! (But please don't really.)

Aaron Thayer

Josh's cousin Aaron moved to Hadley when he was 10 and is really another little brother to Josh. A naturally gifted chef, Aaron has been working his way up the corporate...cheese grater...at an astonishing rate. He now showcases his culinary skills in San Francisco, and is currently Executive Sous Chef at Dominique Crenn's newest restaurant, Petit Crenn.

Andy Chick

If you've been around the right golf club, paper shredder, or vacuum, you've already become acquainted with this groomsman. Andy is a product design consultant and entrepreneur that Josh met when they both went back to school for web design, and they were often In a Pickle together (which thankfully is a great lunch spot and not any sort of eyebrow-raising mischief.)

Aaron Muller, Best Man

Buddies since they were just seven years old, Aaron and Josh grew from boys to men together in Hadley. To describe them in one word: players. And by that, we mean they played baseball. They played soccer. They played in pep band. And, most notably, they played in rock bands...in fact, they learned how to play rock and roll together. Aaron remains an incredible trumpet player (if he doesn't mind us tooting his own horn), and currently lives in Arlington, VA.
